Alexandrine Maes is a pharmacist and has a master in Laboratory Animal Science. She worked for more than 10 years at Sciensano, the Belgian NCL where she was responsible for the in-vivo tests and the lot release of bacterial vaccines. She joined Laboratory Networks and Services Team at WHO (now Market Serveillance and Control team) in 2020 where she is responsible for the testing activities of vaccines performed by WHO contracted laboratories and the management of the WHO-National Control Laboratory Network.
