Bálint Kupcsulik, PhD, MBA, is Manufacturing Science and Technology Lead at GSK’s Gödöllő site. He has more than 20 years of experience in vaccine and biopharmaceutical development, manufacturing, industrialization, technology transfer, and process improvement in international environments. Before joining GSK, he served as Biopharmaceutical Production Director at Prophyl Ltd. from May 2025 to September 2026, and previously held several leadership roles at Ceva Santé Animale and Ceva-Phylaxia, including Research and Technology Assessment Manager, Manufacturing Science and Technology Director, and Industrial Development Director. His experience includes technology scouting, scale-up, process transfer, GMP manufacturing, Quality by Design, and the implementation of novel biological production platforms.
He holds a PhD in Applied Chemical Engineering Sciences, an MBA, and an MSc in Biochemical Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. He is also active in academia as an honorary lecturer and serves as secretary of the Bioengineering Working Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
